The American Bible Society welcomes The Truth Collective members to a Trauma Healing Institute certified training. This Bible-based training utilizes their internationally acclaimed training, Finding Our Comfort in God, to address spiritual and emotional wounds caused by the trauma of war, ethnic conflicts, natural disasters, abuse, and similar events. The book has been contextualized from the original curriculum and is now taught all over the world by experienced practitioners in Islamic contexts.

In the initial equipping session, participants learn basic biblical and mental health principles related to trauma care; explore if they themselves are carrying any wounds of trauma or loss and bring those to Christ for healing; learn how to lead groups in a participatory way; learn the program model; and develop plans for using what they have learned in their community. Trauma healing facilitators aim to “do no harm” to those they help. To this end, in order to be certified to lead healing groups and possibly train others attendance all 5 days is required.
